GRAPES

The small town where I live is located between sea and huge grape field plantations. Being so close to these beautiful gardens, I love to mention the life circle of them, how the sun paints every leave and is integrate part of their life. Every season the fields have a different image. You can find some grapes still in October, but mainly the gathering of a harvest is finished already in September. I would say it is another world with it own secrets and mysteries.

CAVA FESTIVAL

A little bit more about grape harvest celebration. Ctalalunya is a country of cava (sparkling wine), therefore this weekend we were involved in a huge cava fest in a small town Sant Sadurni d`Anoia, which is a capital of cava in Penedès wine producing region. The town is like a small cava world, there you can find everything you can imagine or even can not imagine about cava and for sure wide assortiment of cava itself.


The part of festival was cava tast, where around 100 cava producers were offering to taste cava they make. Atmosphere was really nice and cheerful, people love the outdoor life here, to go out and to do things together, and to celebrate as well.


You just need to choose a cava which you would like to know more about and to taste it. After tatsing 6 different cavas I started to get a bit confused, but still my preferable this time was white cava from Raventós I Blanc.


Just an element on the street as there everything is just about cava !



I was very proud to show this festival to my mother who was visiting us here those days. Completely another culter and knowledge as well. Geting more involved in wine and cava wold I realize how things can be simple and complicated in the same time, I mean - the the way from greape in a field till we hold a glass of sparkling cava in our hands. And the time which is involved in a middle in all of that.
